Biomass Operations

Adrian has over 40 years’ global experience in commodities and shipping. He was elected a member of the Baltic Mercantile Exchange in 1977 and recently established the biomass fuel supply division with International Forest Products. He also led a team at Gazprom that modelled tolling biomass power stations to sleeve risk for fuel suppliers and funders. This work included the entire supply chain from the forest floor to the power station. He has also been involved in the project development of 4 pellets plants, in Russia, Brazil and the USA.

Adrian has co-authored a paper with the Energy Technology Institute (ETI) for HM Government on “Enabling UK Biomass” and is a consultant with the National Non-Food Crops Centre (NNFCC). He provides expert analysis of the biomass market to private equity funds and is a registered expert witness in biomass arbitrations.
